Carolina Is Now Available At Blackberry Books!

Friday, May 29th, 2009

If you’ve visited Vancouver, B.C., you know that Granville Island is a beautiful place. It’s one of my favorite places to hang out, especially on a weekday when it’s not so crowded. Often, my father and I go down to watch the luxury boats we dream of owning! In lieu of buying a yacht, we once rented a little $40 an hour motorboat and puttered around the area…I steered while Dad basked and gazed out to sea. Then we headed to Bridges for Corona and smoked salmon pizza. It’s not a bad way to kill a day…

Anyway, I’m a fan of the place, so I’m pleased to let people know that my first novel, Carolina, is now available at the very charming Blackberry Books in Granville Island. If you’re ever in Vancouver, be sure to drop by and browse their wide selection of Canadian fiction (and a lot more). And be sure to enjoy a cold beer (or an ice cream cone) as well.

Here’s a link to Blackberry Books.

Fear Of Blood - Hemophobia

Tuesday, March 17th, 2009

Phobias affect many people, and they are always a topic of interest. Everyone is afraid of something, and our phobias can be very revealing aspects of our personalities. I’ve been writing for a new website about phobias, FearOfStuff.com, and I’ve picked fascinating subject matter, such as Fear of birds, Fear of The Number 13…and Fear of Blood.

In our society, blood is a taboo. Because it can save lives…and because it can kill. Blood is a substance with deep symbolic value. Read more about Hemophobia at this link (click here)…
